TaleiFiji Marketplace ("we", "us") operates taleifijimarketplace.com, a marketplace connecting Fijian tourism sellers with buyers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed).
  • Seller verification details where applicable: business registration number, TIN, MoT recognition certificate, cooperative registration, trust deed, or village endorsement documents you choose to upload.
  • Payout details: PayPal email, bank account details, or M-PAiSA mobile number, used only to send you money you are owed.
  • Listing content you create, and photos you upload (hosted via Cloudinary).
  • Order and booking history, and any messages sent through the site's chatbot or dispute/feedback forms.
  • Basic technical data (IP address, browser type) for security and fraud prevention.

How we use it

  • To create and manage your account, and to let buyers and sellers transact.
  • To verify seller eligibility and legitimacy before listings go live.
  • To process payments, hold funds in escrow, and release payouts to sellers.
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmations, approval notices) via our email provider.
  • To respond to support requests, disputes, and feedback.
  • To comply with legal obligations in Fiji.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the marketplace (payment processors, cloud hosting, email delivery, image hosting), with the other party to a transaction (e.g. a seller sees a buyer's name and order details needed to fulfil a booking), and where required by law.

Google and Facebook sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name and email address from that provider to create or match your account. We do not receive your password for those services, and we do not post to your Google or Facebook account on your behalf.

Your rights

You can review and update your account details at any time from Your account. To request deletion of your data, contact us using the details below.
