Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TaleiFiji Marketplace (taleifijimarketplace.com). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.

What we are

TaleiFiji Marketplace is a platform that connects independent Fijian tourism sellers (accommodation, tours, village experiences, transport, and SME crafts) with buyers. We are not a party to the contract between a buyer and seller for any booking or purchase; we provide the platform, payment escrow, and verification process that makes those transactions possible.

Seller accounts and verification

  • Listings can only be published once a seller reaches at least Verified status, based on documents reviewed by an admin.
  • Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for fulfilling confirmed bookings.
  • We may pause or remove a listing, or reject a seller application, at our discretion, including for safety, accuracy, or policy reasons.

Payments and escrow

Buyer payments are held in escrow until the order is fulfilled and released to the seller, or refunded in the case of an approved dispute or cancellation. Payout method (PayPal, bank transfer, or M-PAiSA) is chosen by the seller; manual payout methods require additional verification before release.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds follow our cancellation and refund policy (pending legal review): one 48-hour rule applies to every booking. Buyers confirm they have read it before each booking is placed.

Fees

Commission and listing fees vary by category and are shown to sellers before a listing goes live, or in any negotiated partner agreement. Promotional rates (e.g. launch-period 0% commission) apply only for the stated period or booking count.

Disputes

Order disputes can be lodged through the site's chatbot or directly with us, and are reviewed and resolved by an admin. Filing a dispute does not automatically release or refund an order — the resolution decision determines the next step. How to complain, and where to escalate, is set out on our Complaints page.

Prohibited conduct

  • Listing anything illegal, unsafe, or misrepresented.
  • Attempting to take a transaction off-platform to avoid fees or escrow protection.
  • Uploading false verification documents.

Disclaimer

TaleiFiji Marketplace does not accept responsibility or liability, except as required by Fijian law, for:

  • the accuracy or completeness of any information, photos, prices or documents a seller provides;
  • a seller's licences, registrations, permits, insurance, tax obligations, safety standards, or legal right to operate or to let the property or service listed;
  • the quality, safety, or delivery of any product or service a seller provides; or
  • any loss you incur in connection with your use of this platform, including costs and expenses.

Verification does not shift responsibility. When TaleiFiji marks a seller as verified, it means we checked the documents the seller gave us at that time. It is not a guarantee, endorsement, or certification of the seller, the listing, or its compliance. The seller remains fully and solely responsible for everything they list and offer, and for keeping their documents valid and up to date. Buyers should read each listing carefully and check the seller's details.

Limitation of liability

TaleiFiji Marketplace facilitates the connection and payment between buyers and sellers but is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of a seller's goods or services, except as required by Fijian law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Fiji.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
